Here is a view out of the window of the Richlelieu Pavillion of the Louvre. The Pavillions all have various statues of men of import, then you can see the glass pyramid designed by I.M. Pei,
and the Denon Pavillion is in the back
ground.

I'm in Paris for the next two months. Here is the view of the Seine. My apartment is up the side street about a block and a half. This is looking towards Pont Neuf and the Louvre on the right side of the photo. It has been colder than I thought it would be. Last night it snowed.

I went to the Louvre on Sunday as the first Sunday of the month is free. This is one of the Marly horses, sculpted by Guillaume Coustou in 1739. There are four of them. First they were at the king's "vacation home" in Marly, then moved to the Champs Elysees, then to the Louvre in 1985. The pollution was damaging them. This is Mercury riding Pegasus.
